Testimonials
Joe Mills (Political Science Major)
“I chose to minor in entrepreneurship because I was a political science major; but, I was just as interested in business as I was government. The classes provided me with the opportunity to work on a business idea seriously and further explore its potential.
For example, in the ENTP 497 class I was given the opportunity to both write and present my business plan to actual investors; in what other areas of study can you get that type of experience? The classes are applied and teach you what you need to know to be successful. I was able to receive a very well-rounded business education in less than a year. Every social science major should minor in entrepreneurship!”
LaToya Moore (Journalism Major)
The minor in Entrepreneurship truly compliments my major in Journalism. The Entrepreneurship program has allowed me to pair the communication skills I have developed as a Journalism student with the necessary leadership and decision making skills it takes to be a success. I have had the opportunity to network with successful entrepreneurs and business professionals, take a leadership role in a student organization, and compete for scholarships. Whether I decide to start my own company or pursue a career in a corporate setting, I will be able to make a significant impact on the business. I am sure the skills and friendships I’ve developed through the Entrepreneurship program will have a great impact on success in the future.

Mr. Timothy P. Rawe, President & CEO, Fifth Third Bank of Northern Kentucky
"Fifth Third Bank's involvement in the Entrepreneurship Institute shows we have a strong commitment to the northern Kentucky community.
Ray Carrier (Organizational Leadership Major)- "The classes I have taken taught me much more than I ever anticipated. I always had an interest in starting a business, but not knowing what kind. Regardless of the business I would start, the crucial points of marketing, defining targets/niches, and much more have been an excellent learning experience. The reason I studied Entrepreneurship was to allow more of an educated and thorough understanding of how to go about starting a business, the unique networking opportunities, and how to do research and feasibility of any kind of venture."
Denise Devlin (Theatre Major)-
"At first, I was intimidated by the minor, maybe it was the crazy names of the classes like New Venture Creation ( What is that supposed to mean?), or maybe it was the endeavor into the Business building, those business majors can be out of control. But what really scared me was maybe I wouldn't be good at this whole minor. I was wrong. Entrepreneurship holds importance in many different ways to many different people. In the year I have been involved in the minor I have channeled my stage presence and energy to take entrepreneurship by storm, and I've created my own path within the minor. This path fits my needs and wants from the minor, and that path might change within the next two years. All I know is I appreciate the flexibility and understanding the minor has provided, and with the aid of the minor I plan to succeed and conquer and business I dare to enter."
