Williamstown Innovation Center

Purpose

The Williamstown Innovation Center (GCIC) was formed as a result of the Kentucky Innovation Act of 2000 that created the Office of the New Economy (ONE).   The mission of Kentucky Innovation is to create a globally competitive innovation process that is fueled by world-class resources and sustained by an entrepreneurial climate, resulting in a continuously higher standard of living for all Kentuckians.  The GCIC is a collaboration with the NKU Fifth Third Bank Entrepreneurship Institute and the Grant County campus of NKU which provides an array of resources for potential entrepreneurs.

Goals

  • Discover, develop, and find funding for  local entrepreneurs and their innovative ideas.

  • Create jobs and wealth for Grant County and the surrounding areas.

  • Provide business and entrepreneurial education for the community.

Whether the idea directly relates to the innovation center’s directives or not, the GCIC can be a resource to guide small businesses toward the service providers and information they need.

Feel free to contact the Innovation Center if you

  • Have an innovative idea or product to develop and sell.

  • Need funding or financing for your idea or product.

  • Are interested in investing in new ideas and your community.

  • Operate a business and hope to hire or train a highly educated workforce.
