Casey Barach opened the Northern Kentucky ezone in 2001. The next year he was on the team that created Kentucky's ICC (Innovation and Commercialization Center) network. Since that time, Casey has counseled and advised over 175 companies. His commercialization efforts has brought in over $100M in investments and grants into the region. In addition, these companies have created over 1,100 jobs. Annually, the Northern Kentucky ezone has consistently been the topped ranked ICC region in the state.
Prior to the ezone, Casey led the startup of a number of companies and has financing experience ranging from bootstrapping to equity backed ventures. He also has executive level experience in the large to mid-size publicly traded corporations. He was with TCI when they were purchased by AT&T Broadband and spent a number of years at LEXIS-NEXIS.
He has a law degree from the University of Cincinnati, an MBA from University of Dayton and a BS from The Ohio State University. Casey serves on numerous Board of Directors including Northern Kentucky University Research Foundation; The Kentucky Entrepreneur Foundation; Advance Foundation (Covington Housing Authority); Greater Cincinnati Venture Association; and is the former Chairman of the Covington Business Council and their Foundation. In addition, he is the founder of the Northern Kentucky Angel Investment Network and a founding member of the Northern Kentucky Entrepreneur Alliance.
