Alan Greenwell 

Alan, a native of Dayton, Ohio completed his undergraduate studies in 1988 from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York where he received his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting.  Alan completed his Masters of Science in Taxation at the University of Cincinnati in 2003.  He has demonstrated leadership throughout every period of his professional career.  With over 21 years of public accounting experience, including the last 11 years in Cincinnati, he has exhibited leadership both personally and professionally throughout his career. 

Since joining Ernst & Young, LLP as the Strategic Growth Markets Leader - Tax in Cincinnati in 1999, Alan has been instrumental in building the Strategic Growth Market (SGM) tax practice in both the Dayton and Cincinnati markets. In January of 2007, Alan was named the SGM Leader - Tax for all of the North Central Area (Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Michigan, Western Pennsylvania and Western New York). His thorough understanding of the SGM market place, which includes closely held companies, private-equity and venture backed companies and Russell 2000 companies, allows him to identify the needs and challenges and provide proactive business and tax solutions.  Alan has significant experience in serving private-equity backed companies, particularly in the area of structuring and finance transactions.  While Alan enjoys much success at Ernst & Young, he has donated and continues to donate much of his time and talents to the Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky communities.
