Internships

During the each semester, the Entrepreneurship Institute at NKU will be placing registered students in entrepreneurial work environments.

When are students available to begin work?
Students are available to begin work no later than the third week of the semester (Spring - January, Summer - May and Fall - August).

How many hours will students work?
Students will work 10 weeks for 10 hours each week during the semester (100 hrs.)

How much do I have to pay the intern?
Students will be receiving credit from NKU but do not have to be financially compensated for their work by their employer.

What is my responsibility?
In exchange for the student intern, "employers" are required to create a work situation that will allow interns to experience an entrepreneurial environment and have a meaningful work experience. Interns will be periodically "evaluated" by the employer.

How do I participate?
Write a short job description for the position and send it to Professor Jeff Varrone (varronej@nku.edu) along with a brief description of your company. Please provide as much information as possible regarding skills necessary for success in the position and desired work hours.
